Power
In the book The stolen party the main character is hiding. She knows inside that she is not in charge and she is lower than the other characters, but outside she acts bigger which is only going to harm her. Rosaria has a conversation with a girl with a bow and in this conversation they both think they have the power, but really neither of them have it which shows that lots of stories that have the complex reading affect to it have the theme of competition which is related to power in way. Rosaria is affected in and by this be a mistake and this reminds me of real life because in real life if you think of yourself higher than you actually are just the same fact that Rosaria figured out. Rosario is covering her eyes throughout the story, it's all right in front of her, she just doesn't want to see.
